Kimberly James Bridal is a bridal boutique in the heart of Chestnut Hill that offers more than just wedding dresses and accessories. It offers that warm and cozy feeling of home the moment you open the door. It offers great, unforgettable experience that’s about the bride, her wedding vision and her dream dress. Kim and her team want brides to leave her boutique feeling really good about their purchase and experience. Because every bride deserves that “I said yes” experience that only happens once.
Needless to say, salon itself looks sooo beautiful! Every corner invites you to sit down, have a conversation, feel the fabric of gorgeous gowns, try on some cool accessories including bridal shower outfits and personalized jean jackets and celebrate your choice with happiness and excitement.
Kimberly is such a sweet, nice, smart business person who pours her heart, mind and soul into what she does. It was such a pleasure to work together on a video project and capture these behind the scenes. We are super happy and proud to have a business like this in our favorite Chestnut Hill :)
Ana and Chris have a special kind of chemistry.
We like to get to know our clients and spend some time with them at our initial meeting talking about life, love, values, relationships, traditions etc. Ana and Chris radiate a very warm, calm, romantic energy. They are so into each other and so good together. During our first meeting they told me and showed me how much they value each other and their families. When I asked them what they are most excited about and what they are looking forward to the most on their wedding day, they said : “ We just want everyone to have the best time. We want to celebrate and have fun and be happy.” Could it be any better? ;)
Our engagement session had 2 parts: first we got hit with a storm on a sunny day in July while walking around Manayunk… I had this vision of a nice warm sunset for their love and the second time we got lucky with great weather and all the charm that Valley Forge Park had to offer. Here’s some of our favorites!
Lindsey and Joe and their love story could easily be in a movie. They are absolutely sweet and the moment when Joe got down on his knee had us all in awe :)
Prior to his surprise proposal, I carefully picked up champagne, 24 red roses, a love note and a blanket and hid it while making it look natural and at the same time made sure it won’t fly away ( if you know the rotonda spot in Philly behind Museum of Art, you know how windy it gets there, especially on a chilly day ;) The time has come, it was about 5 pm, I made sure to clear the spot and was ready to capture the sweetest moment. Joe and Lindsay came from Washington and were enjoying their day off in Philadelphia. Lindsey didn’t have any idea what was about to happen in the next 5 minutes. Joe opened the ring box and she quietly nodded after a few seconds…. :) That was the cutest and sweetest moment ever!!! We popped the champagne and took a walk around museum grounds. We got so lucky with a few early cherry trees being in bloom at the end of March. They kissed, hugged, smiled and could not take our eyes off the ring.
I can’t wait to work with these lovebirds for their wedding! Happy Engagement!
Chance asked the love of his life to marry him after being together for 2 years. She didn’t hesitate :) They traveled all the way from DC, it was their first time in Philly and look how it all worked out for them! Ring on her finger, happy tears and kisses and then it was time for a nice photo walk around Art Museum.
Enjoy the sneak peek :)
She said yes!
👩❤️💋👨Fresh! She said yes!!! Saturday morning in misty Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania :) The sweeeeetest couple ever! The way Brianna looks at Joe blows my mind 💍😍🤗
#surpriseproposal #shesaidyes #FutureMrsKnellinger
The funniest part is that obviously Brianna didn’t have a clue while Joe coordinated every detail with me. On the day of proposal Morris Arboretum was crowded so we had to take a shuttle to the upper level. What do you think? Of course we happened to be on the same bus and Joe and I had to pretend nothing was happening. It was drizzling and they finally walked to Rose Garden when Joe got on his knee and asked Brianna to marry him. She had the sweetest reaction ever. You know the rest :) Tons of questions, from how he picked the best ring to who else knows….
They have been together for a few years and share so much together. Their little baby princess is so!!! adorable. We jokingly mentioned that she might be a flower girl for their wedding in a couple years from now :) I am so happy that I met these young, beautiful, candid lovebirds.
Happy engagement! Can’t wait to capture your emotions on your wedding day.
Alex and Kit tied the knot at the beautiful St Mary Magdalen Parish in Media and danced the night away at Mendenhall Inn. Their bright personalities, 19+ bridal party ( I still can't believe how helpful, fun, energetic and sweet everyone was and how much they contributed to this special day, making it truly one of a kind for the bride, groom and everyone else including me!), surprises during reception and the loveliest speeches are just a tiny part of how awesome the day went and how much joy it brought. Here is a little glimpse of the day.
There is a subtle magic in people. That magic that’s shining through on a dark grey rainy day. The magic that can heal you once you get lucky to touch it or just to hang around. That little string of connection and hearty warm hugs, conversations and that cup of coffee. The world exists in a way that usually separates those people from you. There is quite a distance. But you know what’s interesting? No matter how far you are, or how long you haven’t seen each other, one word and one meeting is enough to dive back into that comfortable warm pool of magic. It’s not going anywhere, it’s all there. Just stretch a hand, send one message, meet some day and take some portraits. Because is there anything better than a portrait of one’s beautiful soul? That damn magic speaks louder than any words or any explanation people have been trying to find for ages… Meet Sandra, she is #sundra.
Probably nothing shines brighter and brings more joy than Longwood Gardens in December. Their Christmas display truly offers something that will leave you in awe and make your spirits bright. Taking all of that into consideration and really just chasing some cool Christmas lights = we decide to take some fun engagement photos there. This amazing couple is getting married in Philadelphia area in 2018 and I am sure their wedding photos will be as awesome as their engagement! ( not even mentioning breathtaking location that Ken chose for proposal - a beautiful lake in Canada).
When I was heading downtown on a bright sunny Saturday morning to photograph a surprise proposal, I had a feeling it's going to be nice but I didn't expect it to be that emotional and vibrant. Guys chose Rittenhouse Square, one of our all time favorite spots for romantic souls ( see more @ https://www.innaovsepian.com/blog/oldcity/philadelphiasurpriseproposal for inspiration). Sean pretended he was taking a photo of Caitlin while I was hiding behind, ready to capture the most exciting moment. Then he got down on his knee and asked the most important question. Caitlin was shocked! She couldn't stop smiling and laughing... True, vibrant, strong emotions and a couple so in love with each other- I hope I managed to capture it all :) Their story is quite interesting and it proves one more time that what's meant to be is meant to be. Those love stories with running into each other on the street after not being in touch for some time add something mysterious and it just blows my mind every time...
After a short walk around Philly, we came back to where it all started. Sean and Caitlin had a brunch reservation at iconic Parc Restaurant, a stylish french restaurant that recalls the chic brasseries of Paris. Their first date was there. Their first date as engaged couple happened there as well. I can't wait to see what future brings for this lively, beautiful, emotional couple.
Enjoy the moments! xoxo
It's an incredibly great feeling when clients come back every year to do a fun family session with their beloved dog. Beau and Craig both enjoy living in the city, and so does their little furry ball of happiness, Butters. Last year we met at Race St Pier where Butters had all the freedom in the world to sniff everyone, say hello and play in the green hot grass while occasionally sitting still for photos :) This summer we decided to change the scene a bit, and chose romantic Kelly Drive on a warm August night. We got so lucky with gorgeous sunset and quiet intimate moments between these two. I am already excited about our photo session next year!
Although our love for Philadelphia, especially during these charming fall days is immeasurable, we absolutely adore Princeton, NJ and highly recommend our clients consider it when deciding on photo session location. Princeton University is truly magical and is probably one of the country's prettiest campuses. Here you can find gothic, romanesque, modern and postmodern styles, beautifully intertwining. These amazing buildings and gardens make the perfect backdrop for photography, whether it is romantic photosession, or a fun family lifestyle shoot with kids. Enjoy these peaceful images and hurry up to book your dream session with Inna Ovsepian Photography, fall won't last forever ;) We all know what's coming soon :)
I visited 2 sunny countries recently. Countries of "sun", as I call them. My forever sweet and bright memories don't let me go so easily and I keep telling myself how said it is that warm days are over. We never want summer to end, right?;) But the good news is everything comes in circles and spring will be here pretty pretty soon. And we all know what it will start with. Cherry blossoms, of course!
Today on the blog is a spring- inspired photo session with Rie. She's a lifestyle blogger, dancer ( fragile as a tiny statuette) and a beautiful soul who got impeccable taste, combines outfits in the most organic and unique way and loves to roam romantic streets of old Philly with a cup of freshly-brewed La Colombe.
Armenia gave us so much inspiration it had to pour into something beautiful. The word " beautiful" is not really enough. It was a magic trip, revelation and self- awakening all while discovering something deep inside your soul. This portrait session with lovely Arpine took place in one of the most remarkable, romantic and fundamental locations - Cascade. Enjoying Mr. Ararat from the top of Cascade became my favorite thing to do while in Yerevan. I can't wait to be back and work on more creative photoprojects while enjoying all the beauty and charm of this country. Here are some of our favorites from portrait session with Arpi.
*Proud to be an Armenian photographer in Philadelphia, specializing in weddings, engagements, lifestyle sessions and portraits.
