Ana and Chris have a special kind of chemistry.
We like to get to know our clients and spend some time with them at our initial meeting talking about life, love, values, relationships, traditions etc. Ana and Chris radiate a very warm, calm, romantic energy. They are so into each other and so good together. During our first meeting they told me and showed me how much they value each other and their families. When I asked them what they are most excited about and what they are looking forward to the most on their wedding day, they said : “ We just want everyone to have the best time. We want to celebrate and have fun and be happy.” Could it be any better? ;)
Our engagement session had 2 parts: first we got hit with a storm on a sunny day in July while walking around Manayunk… I had this vision of a nice warm sunset for their love and the second time we got lucky with great weather and all the charm that Valley Forge Park had to offer. Here’s some of our favorites!
This past Thursday was an unforgettable day when we all got to celebrate relaunch and rebrand of Slay Displays. Networking, meeting new people and making amazing connections - what can be better? Funny how I’ve been asking everyone how they met Julia.. and was happy to share my story: we first met at a styled shoot at Anthony Wayne House, a project I got interested in because I saw her name and wanted to meet another russian- speaking vendor in the industry! I got to meet her and her husband and got amazed by how much effort and hard work they put into their craft. All of their flowers, giant letters and backdrops are made by hand… it’s clear they pour all their energy and soul into what they do and always come up with creative ways to wow! Their letters are definitely show stoppers that would be an awesome addition to a surprise proposal, wedding, family celebrations and any other event.
It was awesome to meet new amazing friendors I ‘ve heard of before : Frost 321 are so unique and so cool! While we were filming them, I was literally mesmerized by the way their cocktails are made. Watching them do their magic made me think of summer rooftop parties and how great it would be to have them there. It’s literally entertainment + frozen tasty cocktails ( 2 in 1).
Huge thank you to all the vendors who participated:

Kate and Rob said their vows in front of their family on a nice sunny Saturday in June. Their lovely backyard was a perfect setting for a low key, relaxed wedding ceremony. After the ceremony we went to Normandy Farms to take some photos with now Mr and Mrs. Kate and Rob looked awesome and their eyes were full of love and excitement when they were saying their “ I do’s”. Additional bonus : puppy and Star Wars masks. Here’s our favorite moments from that sweet day :)
Lindsey and Joe and their love story could easily be in a movie. They are absolutely sweet and the moment when Joe got down on his knee had us all in awe :)
Prior to his surprise proposal, I carefully picked up champagne, 24 red roses, a love note and a blanket and hid it while making it look natural and at the same time made sure it won’t fly away ( if you know the rotonda spot in Philly behind Museum of Art, you know how windy it gets there, especially on a chilly day ;) The time has come, it was about 5 pm, I made sure to clear the spot and was ready to capture the sweetest moment. Joe and Lindsay came from Washington and were enjoying their day off in Philadelphia. Lindsey didn’t have any idea what was about to happen in the next 5 minutes. Joe opened the ring box and she quietly nodded after a few seconds…. :) That was the cutest and sweetest moment ever!!! We popped the champagne and took a walk around museum grounds. We got so lucky with a few early cherry trees being in bloom at the end of March. They kissed, hugged, smiled and could not take our eyes off the ring.
I can’t wait to work with these lovebirds for their wedding! Happy Engagement!
Chance asked the love of his life to marry him after being together for 2 years. She didn’t hesitate :) They traveled all the way from DC, it was their first time in Philly and look how it all worked out for them! Ring on her finger, happy tears and kisses and then it was time for a nice photo walk around Art Museum.
Enjoy the sneak peek :)
Jessica and James. Oh my.... you set that night on fire. The outpour of emotions, love, loyalty, passion, unitedness that was concentrated in the air is insane. That feeling of a " WHOLE" when the whole family gathers together for a celebration… that's probably what left the biggest impression on me. You went so above and beyond to make this celebration beautiful and provide for your guests. You made it yours, the way only you could do. It was so "homie", but at the same time so grandiose in its own way. Gorgeous grounds generously provided by your friends just made it even more unique and added some extra honey to already sweet wedding day. Everything was top notch- food, flowers, amazing live band, heartwarming speeches.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your sweetest moments and showing me how deeply you care, love, and affect those who are around you.
You're as smooth as Tennessee whiskey
You're as sweet as strawberry wine
You're as warm as a glass of brandy
And honey, I stay stoned on your love all the time...
Alex and Kit tied the knot at the beautiful St Mary Magdalen Parish in Media and danced the night away at Mendenhall Inn. Their bright personalities, 19+ bridal party ( I still can't believe how helpful, fun, energetic and sweet everyone was and how much they contributed to this special day, making it truly one of a kind for the bride, groom and everyone else including me!), surprises during reception and the loveliest speeches are just a tiny part of how awesome the day went and how much joy it brought. Here is a little glimpse of the day.
Wedding reception is one of the tastiest parts of your wedding day! Yes, you heard (read) it right.
Excitement during bridal prep is gone, the emotional ceremony is over, family portraits are finished, as well as photos of bride and groom, and you are ready to party all night with your beloved family and friends!
Elegant ballroom, sun-lit backyard, artsy modern space ... it doesn't matter where you celebrate, it matters how and who you celebrate with.
Because there’s just something about those sparkly and elegant details that make emotional moments come alive for us. There’s something about all of your favorite people in the world getting together to toast, dance and celebrate the night away!
Our favorite receptions are crazy, emotional, meaningful, honest and raw! We absolutely adore watching parents say the most important things to their sons and daughters, we love seeing their tears as well as observing bride and groom getting emotional hearing that. We enjoy siblings and best friends sharing their personal stories during speeches, it's always super fun and allows to get to know our clients on a deeper level and just make sure one more time that they are awesome human beings! Our hearts come alive when we see grandparents getting down on the dance floor and couples soaking in those rare moments of universal, overwhelming happiness.
As long as our couple and their families are experiencing the night fully alive, we produce our best work! Not to mention how much satisfaction it brings to catch these moments.
What's your reception going to look like? :)
Although our love for Philadelphia, especially during these charming fall days is immeasurable, we absolutely adore Princeton, NJ and highly recommend our clients consider it when deciding on photo session location. Princeton University is truly magical and is probably one of the country's prettiest campuses. Here you can find gothic, romanesque, modern and postmodern styles, beautifully intertwining. These amazing buildings and gardens make the perfect backdrop for photography, whether it is romantic photosession, or a fun family lifestyle shoot with kids. Enjoy these peaceful images and hurry up to book your dream session with Inna Ovsepian Photography, fall won't last forever ;) We all know what's coming soon :)
I met this incredibly sweet and damn, photogenic couple last summer. Crazy heat and crazy in love. That’s how I remember that day. They got married around noon, the sun was high and so were Maryam’s heels…. But we braved the heat and all the inconveniences and had one of the most amazing photowalks around Philly. Apparently, Philadelphia means a lot to these lovebirds. When they asked me to photograph them again this year after falling In love with their wedding photos, they told me they wanted “a lot of Philadelphia” in their pictures.
So this is the outcome of our cool photosession with two cool people, who are so into each other, photography, technology, nature and travelling. They were leaving Philadelphia shortly after our session to have a second marriage ceremony and celebration with their loved ones in their hometown. I am happy they now have all this to enjoy memories of the lovely city that united them.
May and Ali is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful couples I've ever seen. Remember me saying that my couples are from the movies? Well, yes, they are, and these guys just proved it one more time. They got married at the Islamic Society of Valley Forge on Friday, July 14, and threw a wonderful party for families and friends at gorgeous Morris Arboretum the next day. Morris is another love from first sight. I am lucky to live just 15 minutes from this beautiful garden, which makes it one of my favorite spots for photo sessions, whether it's an engagement session, family portraits or a maternity photo shoot. Morris Arboretum is different every time you visit! Magnificent cherry blossoms in spring, bright and blooming in summer, and soothing and charming in fall. Perfect location for any photo project :)
First time we met with May and Ali ( and bride's lovely family) on a snowy, but cozy day in January, in my favorite Chestnut Hill. I remember I said to myself : how cute, her parents came here to meet me too! What a little but powerful sign of parents' love, appreciation and care about their daughter. I always remind my couples that their wedding day is one of the most important days of their lives, not only for them, but for their parents! This is the day they've been waiting for, nothing brings them more happiness than seeing their kids happy and in love. May and Ali were the cutest, there was that tender energy between them that is so difficult to describe. They are like rose and water. Complete each other, compliment each other, look like a ONE.
It was incredibly hot on their wedding day. Incredibly great, bubbly, loud, emotional and beautiful. May looked absolutely stunning in her incredible dress she decorated with beads by herself. She was radiating elegance, rays of happiness and tender grace. Eileen did a wonderful job with May's make up, she looked perfect till the end of reception, which lasted till late, I must admit :)
I am so very lucky to know these two beautiful souls and preserve the memories forever. It was an emotional day for everyone around – something that I as a photographer love to capture. The combination of vulnerability, emotions, tears, warm hugs and crazy dances and a completely unique day led to some of my favorite photos that I am now honored to share with the world.
Two lovebirds who share something special and even mystical... Their love is quiet, beautiful, enormous and so sooo warm.
Mitch and Shanna got married on a hot summer day at the beautiful Mansion on Main. ( http://www.mansiononmainstreet.com/)
Enjoy the memories!
Juy 10th officially marks the birth of my new website. It took a lot of energy, tweaking and changing and (almost) sleepless nights but I love it as it is my child and very proud of the results. For a perfectionist like me, it was not easy, but some things are worth waiting for.

Fairmount park engagement session with Larisa and Ryan. And their wonderful dog Ben :) One of the most loving, caring, smiling, attractive couples I know. Working with these guys was extremely easy! Larisa's smile and energy is enough to light the whole park ;) We met at beautiful Valley Green Inn and made some memories with their adorable family member, Ben. We taught him to hold the engagement ring and smile to the camera and even though he wanted to eat it first, everything ended well.
We ended the night at our favorite Chestnut Hill, ate delicious ice cream and enjoyed each other.
Random facts: Recently, wandering through Instagram, I found a wonderful lady @lpriorijewelry and her incredibly tender and beautiful jewelry! I was impressed to say the least. Well, my excitement elevated to the next level when I found that Larisa's engagement ring was made by the same wonderful jeweler. Happy coincidence? :)
I asked Larisa what her favorite song is. She told me they both love Ed Sheeran and Lucky by Jason Mraz. That's my girl :)
Enjoy the memories!
The moment we met with Kim and Jason I knew their wedding day is going to be special. They love wine, live in Manayunk, going to Barcelona for their honeymoon... could there be more coincidences? ;) The way the treated each other, their relationship, all the energy, love and effort they put into planning their big day and the fact that they did their best for their guests to have fun and celebrate love and life - that says it all. When we were saying goodbye to each other after our initial consult, Kim told me she needed to finish the table invitations she was making from wine corks. I smiled. I still smile today when I think about it.
I can't express how amazed I was by the incredible venue Kim and Jason chose for their wedding. ARTesano Gallery is for lovers. Unique venue with incredible atmosphere, amazing stuff, great food, outlandish lighting located in the heart of vibrant Manayunk makes a wedding day a dream!
It was a pleasure to celebrate wit you guys! I enjoyed it so much. Now it's time to enjoy these memories.
Kira and Steve's wedding was the first wedding of season 2017 for Inna Ovsepian Photography.
Started at beautiful Gloria Dei (Old Swedes') Church in Philadelphia and proceeded straight to awesome Mummers :)
Smiles all day, crazy dances, unique and elegant dress, outlandish Mummers Museum and pouring rain - that's how I will remember their big day!
