Magnolia Plantations and Gardens | Charleston Engagement Photos

No secret that Charleston is one of my favorite places. I’ve been there 3 times now and during my last trip in February, I discovered a simply magical place called Magnolia Plantations and Gardens. It’s been selected as one of "America's Most Beautiful Gardens"! It’s one of the oldest plantations in the South, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places

Needless to say, it was such a pleasure for eyes and soul. I met a cute couple, who met while working there. They answered a few of my questions about gardens and I couldn’t resist taking a few portraits for them as they went out on a walk after a long day of work. Such powerful meaningful memories. Here are some of our favorites images from that warm day in the South.

Locations : Magnolia Plantation and Gardens ( 3550 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414)

Rainbow Row, Old Charleston

Valley Forge Park Engagement Photos

Ana and Chris have a special kind of chemistry.

We like to get to know our clients and spend some time with them at our initial meeting talking about life, love, values, relationships, traditions etc. Ana and Chris radiate a very warm, calm, romantic energy. They are so into each other and so good together. During our first meeting they told me and showed me how much they value each other and their families. When I asked them what they are most excited about and what they are looking forward to the most on their wedding day, they said : “ We just want everyone to have the best time. We want to celebrate and have fun and be happy.” Could it be any better? ;)

Our engagement session had 2 parts: first we got hit with a storm on a sunny day in July while walking around Manayunk… I had this vision of a nice warm sunset for their love and the second time we got lucky with great weather and all the charm that Valley Forge Park had to offer. Here’s some of our favorites!

Charleston Love Story Engagement Photos

Once upon a time, we ended up working in Charleston, South Carolina ( one of my favorite places in the world), at a beautiful Indian wedding. We finished the wedding, but didn’t want to leave the city. So what do you think we ended up doing? Staying for a few more days filled with the best adventures, some bridal shoots, and fun engagement session in a local Charleston Ice cream shop. Here are a few of our favorites!

Location : Republic Ice Cream & Custard (431 King St, Charleston, SC 29403)

Slay Displays/ Location 215

This past Thursday was an unforgettable day when we all got to celebrate relaunch and rebrand of Slay Displays. Networking, meeting new people and making amazing connections - what can be better? Funny how I’ve been asking everyone how they met Julia.. and was happy to share my story: we first met at a styled shoot at Anthony Wayne House, a project I got interested in because I saw her name and wanted to meet another russian- speaking vendor in the industry! I got to meet her and her husband and got amazed by how much effort and hard work they put into their craft. All of their flowers, giant letters and backdrops are made by hand… it’s clear they pour all their energy and soul into what they do and always come up with creative ways to wow! Their letters are definitely show stoppers that would be an awesome addition to a surprise proposal, wedding, family celebrations and any other event.

It was awesome to meet new amazing friendors I ‘ve heard of before : Frost 321 are so unique and so cool! While we were filming them, I was literally mesmerized by the way their cocktails are made. Watching them do their magic made me think of summer rooftop parties and how great it would be to have them there. It’s literally entertainment + frozen tasty cocktails ( 2 in 1).

Huge thank you to all the vendors who participated:

Normandy Farm Wedding Photos | Blue Bell Backyard Ceremony

Kate and Rob said their vows in front of their family on a nice sunny Saturday in June. Their lovely backyard was a perfect setting for a low key, relaxed wedding ceremony. After the ceremony we went to Normandy Farms to take some photos with now Mr and Mrs. Kate and Rob looked awesome and their eyes were full of love and excitement when they were saying their “ I do’s”. Additional bonus : puppy and Star Wars masks. Here’s our favorite moments from that sweet day :)

Adventure Aquarium Surprise Proposal | Camden Waterfront & Race St Pier Engagement

Prem surprised Sarah with a shiny heart shaped ring and VIP tour around Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. The coolest part of this afternoon: divers with the sweetest sign “Will you marry me?”…. and Sarah’s reaction of course! :)

Congratulations on your engagement!

Thank you to Aquarium’s staff for being super caring and helpful.

Maritime Parc Wedding | Jersey City | Francesca + Louis

This gorgeous winter wedding at Maritime Parc was the last wedding for me in season 2018. I don't know how I got so lucky to work with international brides recently (see my Polish princess here- https://www.innaovsepian.com/blog/2018/10/16/peter-shields-inn-wedding-cape-may-nj-marley-sam ), but here goes another magic story:)

We met with Francesca and Louis in Princeton back in November to discuss their wedding plans. They literally put the whole thing together in record time! Francesca's beautiful and loud (that we would find out later, when they started singing during reception;) family struck me with their openness, candid smiles and so much joy and merriness that they were radiating. The way they all gathered together during ceremony to be able to hear Francesca's brother Rocco translation was just so sweet! Dances melted my heart. Manhattan views took our breath away. The day could not be any better. Maritime Parc and their staff added their top notch service, charm and impeccable hospitality. Their whole team along with amazing views made our day truly unforgettable.

Congratulations Francesca and Louis, enjoy the memories!

Everly at Railroad + Ocean City Engagement | Dana + Mike

While Philly was dealing with snowy surprise I escaped to Tuckahoe and Ocean City to spend an amazing afternoon with Dana and Mike for their engagement session. We started the day at whimsical Everly at Railroad and later made our way to Ocean City. The weather could not be any better. My favorite parts of the day : guys taking Polaroid photos of each other ( how sweet!), wine on the beach, emotions, happy smiles and the fact that Mike was ready to sacrifice the Eagles game for this session ;)

Enjoy these memories :) Can’t wait to capture more soul photos on your wedding day!

Thank you for this beautiful day.

Javier+ Nicole | Summer Backyard Wedding in Cream Ridge,NJ

This year Javier and Nicole celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Their backyard wedding was filled with love, so much positive energy coming from family's bonds, crazy heat and then pouring rain, amazing dances, great food and so much more. Here's a few of our favorites. Take notes if you are planning a backyard wedding ( just look at all these DIY wedding details).

Elegant wedding at Smithville Mansion | Hilary + Philip

How sweet it is to be loved by you...

Every once in a while we get these extra crazy hot days here in NJ when humidity is so strong you almost can't breathe or stay outdoors. Well, this time out breath was taken away by something stronger. Extraordinary celebration of life and love with one incredible couple. We couldn't be any more grateful and humbled by a chance to be there with Hilary, Philip and their fun families while there were tying the knot this Saturday at one of the most scenic wedding venues in New Jersey- historic Smithville Mansion. Awesome vintage car, ceremony with British accent, crazy dances, unbearable heat and those tender moments in between. Here are few of our favorites!

Sandra | Portrait session

There is a subtle magic in people. That magic that’s shining through on a dark grey rainy day. The magic that can heal you once you get lucky to touch it or just to hang around. That little string of connection and hearty warm hugs, conversations and that cup of coffee. The world exists in a way that usually separates those people from you. There is quite a distance. But you know what’s interesting? No matter how far you are, or how long you haven’t seen each other, one word and one meeting is enough to dive  back into that comfortable warm pool of magic. It’s not going anywhere, it’s all there. Just stretch a hand, send one message, meet some day and take some portraits. Because is there anything better than a portrait of one’s beautiful soul? That damn magic speaks louder than any words or any explanation people have been trying to find for ages…  Meet Sandra, she is #sundra.

Fall. Engaged. Princeton.

Although our love for Philadelphia, especially during these charming fall days is immeasurable, we absolutely adore Princeton, NJ and highly recommend our clients consider it when deciding on photo session location. Princeton University is truly magical and is probably one of the country's prettiest campuses. Here you can find gothic, romanesque, modern and postmodern styles, beautifully intertwining. These amazing buildings and gardens make the perfect backdrop for photography, whether it is romantic photosession, or a fun family lifestyle shoot with kids. Enjoy these peaceful images and hurry up to book your dream session with Inna Ovsepian Photography, fall won't last forever ;) We all know what's coming soon :)
